Statsig's Brand Identity
Statsig, founded in late 2020, set out to create an industry-leading A/B testing platform. The company was established by a team of former Facebook engineers, product managers, researchers, and designers. With its quirky, personal, and modern design, Statsig quickly garnered widespread acclaim. However, the company needed a new brand identity to reflect its unique character. In 2021, I was hired as the first brand designer to begin the development of the brand identity. By early 2022, we successfully launched a new brand identity that embodied the same flexibility, quirkiness, and vibrancy that define our team.

Statsig’s Brand Identity
Statsig, founded in late 2020, set out to create an industry-leading A/B testing platform.
The company was established by a team of former Facebook engineers, product managers, researchers, and designers. With its quirky, personal, and modern design, Statsig quickly garnered widespread acclaim. However, the company needed a new brand identity to reflect its unique character.
In 2021, I was hired as the first brand designer to begin the development of the brand identity. By early 2022, we launched a new brand identity that embodied the same flexibility, quirkiness, and vibrancy that define our team.
The Brand Identity
Statsig needed a brand that was as modern, fun, and experimental as possible. We looked to keep the branding simple and easy to execute, as well as something that could continue to evolve as we grew. This brand identity is set on the foundation of simplicity and creativity.
The brand’s visual style is made to be fun and easy to play with. We enjoyed the idea of animation and illustration playing a big part of our brand’s identity and an easy way to not take ourselves too seriously like many of our competitors. The bright greens and blues allow us to stand out amongst a sea of blacks and navy, as well as a unique take on typography and structure.
Grid and Patterns
Grid patterns come in 2 perspectives
—frontal and isometric. They are used to intentionally increase visual impact in assets and to help ground illustrations.
Grids should always be used as a background element, acting only as an added layer of depth and texture.
About Statsig
We empower companies to accelerate their growth through the power of data and experimentation.
Statsig's brand and voice is conversational but not chatty, smart but not stuffy. Our tone can flex depending on the situation, but our voice always holds steady.
Conclusion
As of 2024, this has been Statsigs design Library and is pulled through all ends of design. I have played a major role in this brand identity by art directing, managing, and designing net new assets fit for Statsigs needs. This library is considered a “living document” on the design team meaning we hope to continue to change and evolve the brand as the company grows and sees fit.
