Korea 2019
During the summer of 2019, I spent over three months as a design intern at Sean Communications in Seoul, South Korea. I made many good friends and tried many new foods, activities, and more. This summer was one that I will never forget, and I often go back to visit my friends and see more of the beautiful country and all it has to offer. Here is just a snippet of what I did that summer :)
Celebrating a project closing!
When the team completed a big project, we would go on fun outings! My favorite memory was going to the lake and eating K-BBQ with my coworkers. I was the only English speaker on the team, and I don’t speak Korean very well, but I had a fantastic time with everyone nonetheless.
Story time!
I came to Korea alone, but ISA put a group of interns in the same dorm together. I was extremely lucky to find a group of friends while abroad, and see all of the sights with them. My most embarrassing memory is walking into a hotpot restaurant with one of my fellow interns and leaving because we couldn’t read the menu. We then marched into a KBBQ spot where I almost set the place on fire due to my lack of knowledge on how to grill the meet. In the US, the grill it for you, so we sat there waiting until it eventually set on fire…I was mortified.
